The Listening Program

The Listening Program is based upon in depth science and research on the effects of noise pollution and neurological stress. It is an 8-week, home program of listening to strategically engineered compact discs that have filtered sound frequencies embedded in the music. The purpose is to produce a calm and modulated state (restful and focused) and to increase orientation to sounds that are often missed by people with auditory processing challenges.

We have used this program for over 5 years. Our own clinical trials with many other auditory integration methods have shown The Listening Program to have met more of the goals of improving sensory integration in the long run. It is most frequently a part of an inclusive treatment program, though it can also be a singular focus of treatment.

The Listening Program may help with:

Attentional problems
Listening problems
Learning problems
Central auditory processing difficulties
Difficulty retaining information
Sound sensitivities
Energy level and confidence
